This city is the capital of the province of the same name. It limits to the north with the commune of Copiapó, to the east with the communes of Freirina and Vallenar, to the south with Freirina and to the west with the Chilean sea. The list of places to visit in Huasco is long, one of the most outstanding is the Huasco Valley, due to the abundant vegetation found in it, this valley has been given the name "Jardin de Atacama". This valley stands out for the large number of small towns and agricultural villages with tourist and cultural activities originating from the Diaguita culture. The tourist routes that take place in the Huasco Valley are enriched with the visibility of the olive trees for the production of olives and wine, there are several reviews that praise the sweetness of this wine, so it is recommended to accompany the visit with the tasting of the same.
